Corinne Hermant-de Callataÿ works in the area of inclusive growth and urban and territorial development in the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission. She is co-author of the ‘Cities of Tomorrow’ report, published in 2011 after a two-year reflection process.
From 1995 to 2004 she was coordinator of the ‘Open and Distance Learning (Minerva)’ action of the European Socrates programme. Before joining the European Commission she was a Social Science researcher, specialising in urban research. She then went on to specialise in research on the social and organisational impact of new technologies. She has written several publications on the use of ICTs in education and the impact of new technologies.
